I talked about how your credit score is calculated.  This week we will focus on activities that will help raise your score. As a teenager, my mother mentioned a few times to never get a credit card but never explained why and you have to tell me why.  So when I received my first credit card offer I apply, get the card and tell myself that I would just use it here and there. Well... I maxed that card out in 1 month.  It didn't have a high credit limit but it was still maxed (not good). Initially, I was not concerned because I had a job so I had the means to pay the bill when it comes, but I noticed that even though I am paying the minimum payment and the balance is not really moving.
